The Gymnasium St. Antonius in the Kanton Appenzell Innerrhoden celebrates the international year of the periodic table with an extra-large version of the periodic system on the facade of our school building. In the course of a thematic week (1st to 4th October 2019), a group of students painted and labeled 90 wooden panels (size: 1.0 m x 0.7 m). The lanthanides and actinides are summarized on one table each. The periodic table was inaugurated on Friday 4th October 2019 and complemented by a small exhibition on various aspects of the elements and the periodic table. The periodic table and the exhibition will remain open for the public during approximately one month.
The project was led by Jonas Schönle ().
